How to save a network (HAR) file for support
When a page will not load for you, a HAR file helps our team find the cause.
Updated 2025-07-03
Sometimes part of an app will not load for you while it works for others. Often your network is blocking a domain we load from. A HAR file records what your browser loaded so we can find the problem.
Chrome or Edge
- Open the page that is giving you trouble.
- Right-click the page and choose Inspect.
- Open the Network tab and tick Preserve log.
- Refresh the page and repeat what you were trying to do.
- Right-click any line in the list and choose Save all as HAR with content.
Safari
- In the menu bar choose Safari, then Settings (or Preferences), then Advanced.
- Tick Show Develop menu in menu bar.
- Right-click the page, choose Inspect Element, open Network, refresh, repeat the action, and choose Export.
Send it to us
Email the file to support@madmonkey.media. If it is over 25 MB, upload it to MAD Drive or Google Drive and send the link.
Privacy: a HAR file can include details of what you were signed in to. Only send it to us, and sign out afterward if you are worried.
